The Black Mental Health Symposium (BMHS) is an annual professional development event dedicated to advancing mental health care in Black communities. Now in its 10th year, BMHS brings together mental health professionals for education, networking, and collaboration.
BMHS 2026 will be held virtually on September 10-11, 2026. As a virtual event, you can participate from anywhere with an internet connection.
BMHS is designed for licensed mental health professionals including psychologists, counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, psychiatrists, and graduate students in mental health fields.
BMHS welcomes all mental health professionals committed to culturally responsive care for Black communities. Our diverse attendees share a common goal of improving mental health outcomes.

Registration & Pricing

We offer three registration tiers: Early Bird ($149, until June 30), Professional ($249, standard rate), and Student ($79, with valid ID). All registrations include full 2-day access and up to 12 CE credits.
Yes! Organizations registering 5 or more attendees can receive up to 20% off. Contact us at registration@blackmhsymposium.com for group pricing.
Full refunds are available 30+ days before the event. Within 30 days, we offer transfer to another attendee or credit for the next year. See our full Refund Policy page for details.
Yes, registrations may be transferred to another person up to 7 days before the event at no additional charge. Contact registration@blackmhsymposium.com to process a transfer.

CE Credits

Attendees can earn up to 12 continuing education credits over the two-day symposium. Credits are available for psychologists, counselors, social workers, and marriage/family therapists.
Our CE credits are approved by NBCC, NASW, and various state licensing boards. Contact ce@blackmhsymposium.com for specific board inquiries.
CE certificates are issued electronically within 2 weeks after the event. You must complete session evaluations and pass brief knowledge checks to receive credit.
No, CE credits are included with all registration types at no additional cost.
